Who We Are
We are a multi-generational fellowship of believers who find our identity as ones who have been called out by God, changed by His gospel, and gathered for the sake of exalting and following Jesus. We’re all about truth and grace. We unapologetically proclaim the truth of God’s word and endeavor to live by it while at the same time extending love and grace to all. If you’re new to the area, new to church, or just looking for a new start, we’d love to have you join us this Sunday!Frequently Asked Questions
What should I expect on Sunday morning?
Our Sunday morning worship gatherings are 60-70 minutes long. We typically start with a time of worship followed by an in-depth, verse-by-verse Bible teaching. Occasionally, we incorporate additional elements such as communion.
What should I wear?
We will always be committed to the serious and intentional study of God’s Word, but we’re not picky about what people wear. When you arrive on Sunday, you’re likely to see people in jeans and t-shirts as well as khakis and ‘dress clothes.’ The focus isn’t on what we wear, but on worshiping Jesus and studying the Word of God. Come as you are. We’ll just be glad to see you.
Will there be something for my children?
Yes! We currently have Children’s programming for your little ones up through 2nd grade (3rd and 4th grade classes are coming soon!). We want to partner with you to guide your children’s hearts toward God by building relationships, engaging in meaningful play, and learning God’s Word – all while having lots of FUN! We invite all children to remain in the main service for our time of worship and then we’ll dismiss them to their classes. And just in case you’re wondering about safety, rest assured that all of our volunteers go through background checks and our classroom leaders are well trained to care for your kids.
Do I have to be a member to take communion?
We believe in open communion. Anyone who believes in Jesus Christ is welcome to take communion, whether they are a church member or not.
What We Believe
Meet The Pastor
At Grand Haven Community Baptist, we love to study God’s word and we endeavor to live passionate, faith-filled lives, following Jesus every single day of the week. We want to let God’s Word change us radically so that we can go out and impact the world for Christ. If you’re looking for a church like this, GHCBC might be the place for you.
We’d love to have you visit us on a Sunday morning to really experience what we’re all about. After the service, come meet my wife Lisa and me. We’re always eager to meet new friends and help people get connected to what God is doing here. Our hope is to join you on the path to a deeper, more life-changing relationship with Jesus, the One who made you and gave His life for you.
